KLE Introduces Omega Conductive Powder

Jupiter, Fla. — KLE is proud to announce the release of Omega Conductive Padding Powder designed to provide maximum lubrication thus reducing opc drum wear while improving charging from the pcr.

The Omega product has been designed to increase lubrication and eliminate the problem of black specks appearing on the printed image as the result of standard powder contaminating the pcr. Standard powders are non-conductive, thus establishing a barrier that insulates the charge from being transferred between the pcr and the opc drum, resulting in the black dots. Omega's unique molecular metal system, however, conducts a charge thereby eliminating the dots while providing the highest lubrication in the industry. This KLE padding powder coats the OPC drum, resulting in less wear and the thickest layer of lubrication to the wiper blade.

In testing against all major padding powders now available, Omega provided greater lubrication, reducing wear by as much as 3 times. In one of our tests, we set up a cartridge to produce a noticeable hum, caused by drag of the wiper blade on the opc drum. Omega immediately eliminated the hum while other industry padding powders failed.
