Static Control Components Releases New Products for the HP4000
Sanford, N.C. — SCC Imaging Division has announced the release of components for the
HP4000 cartridge. These include splitting and sealing systems, packaging, and critical replacement parts to
compliment the PhotoPrecise™ imaging system. SCC's total engine development program now offers
everything you need for complete remanufacturing of the HP4000 cartridge.
HP4000 RapidSplitter™
The new HP4000 RapidSplitterTM Power Splitting System allows you to split the mag roller
and hopper sections without breaking the critical flange areas. The design of the OEM weld seam joining
the mag roller and hopper sections is similar to the WX cartridge. While this provides an extremely
strong weld, it makes it nearly impossible to handsplit without breaking the flange areas. SCC's
RapidSplitter, with twin rotary cutting blades driven by a 1 hp electric motor, separates the hopper section in less than
10 seconds, leaving a clean smooth cut.
HP4000 WhiteSeal™
SCC's HP4000 WhiteSeal™ has been developed to take care of all sealing needs for the
HP4000 while offering speed, economy and precision. The OEM cartridge has many of the same sealing
limitations associated with the EX and WX cartridges. The hopper is designed in a way that insertable
seals, such as heat seals or hard cards, cannot be installed to effectively seal the cartridge. The HP4000
cartridge also demonstrated a high potential for toner leakage during shipping. Because of its
innovative design, SCC's HP4000 WhiteSeal needs no cardboard stabilizer. The peel-to-expose pressure
sensitive adhesive assures a secure attachment to the hopper. A rigid-based RapidSeal™ is currently
under development.
HP4000 Packaging
HP4000 packaging from SCC will let your customers quickly identify the cartridge inside and give
your remanufactured products the professional appearance they deserve. The HP4000 box and box insert
have been specially designed for the HP4000 cartridge. The insert prevents the cartridge from slipping
during shipping and ensures a snug, secure fit. Two labels, one for the 27A and one for the 27X, are available for
the box. A matching cartridge label is also ready for shipment.
Additional HP4000 Products
Additional HP4000 products released by SCC include: seal pull-tab, doctor blade sealing
foam, wiper blade end foam/felt kit, wiper blade end foam, wiper blade end felt, mag roller sealing foam,
wiper blade sealing foam, sealing channel rail foam, hopper compression springs, and a drum shutter
actuator spring. SCC also has existing products for the HP4000 which include drum shutter felt, doctor blade
end foam, PolyBlade™ recovery blade, mylar recovery blade, and a mag roller sealing blade. More than
30 products for the HP4000 are scheduled for release during March and April.
The first edition of the HP4000 cartridge reference manual is now available both in print and on
our web site.
