Pacific Office Solutions Solves Smart Chip Technology Problems
Rancho Cordova, Calif. Pacific Office Solutions, the leader in remanufacturing
solutions for "sensor chip" technology has released several new products. The original Pretender 2 for
the Xerox 5113/5114/5614 has been redesigned to completely eliminate compatibility issues
with some machines. Users of an original assembly that failed to work properly may have it
replaced with the new Pretender 2. A replacement chip is also available with prices starting at $19.
It requires some soldering by the remanufacturer.
Compatible copy cartridges for the Xerox 5113/5114/5614 are now available from
Pacific Office Solutions. The replacement cartridges for the 113R79, 113R80, 113R82, 113R85 use
'EM drums and blade assemblies. But unlike the 'EM, the copmpatible cartridge is available in
18,000 and 36,000 copy versions with prices starting at $195.
The Pretender 1 for the Xerox 5318, 5320, 5322 has now been manufactured in a
complete assembly that requires no soldering. The Pretender 1 assembly only requires the removal of the
old assembly secured with two screws.
Pacific Office Solutions now offers a new solution for the Xerox 5312, 5313, 5314. the
company can repair the sensor chips in these cartridges for reuse. At this time, cores are extremely
limited, but advance exchange is not mandatory. A design for a complete assembly replacement is
now under development.
A solution for the Canon B1 & Al drum cartridge is now available. This product has not
been previously rebuildable due to Canon's use of a sensor chip. A drum kit for the B1 will soon
be introduced in addition to a new PWB for both cartridges.
All these products will be featured at Pacific Office Solutions' booth #6 during World
Expo'98 in Las Vegas, September 22-25.
Also at the World Expo, cartridge expert Les Perault of Single Element Technology will
demonstrate remanufacturing techniques for the Xerox 5318, 5320, 5322 copy cartridge utilizing a
replacement sensor chip. Attendees of this lab are entitled to a "Buy One Get One Free" offering on
the Pretender 1.
