Coates Launches its Range of Desktop Ink Jet Products
Dallas, Penn. Coates Reprographics Inc. is changing its name. To better reflect the organization's global approach to toner and ink jet markets, the Pennsylvania-based company will adopt the name of its corporate headquarters in the United Kingdom and become Coates Electrographics, Inc. The name change also will signal the launch of the Coates' compatible, desktop ink jet products into the North American market.
Coates Electrographics is a member of the Coates Group, one of the largest industrial ink companies in the world, which is a subsidiary of the French petroleum company, Total. The Coates Group is an established leader in the manufacture of "traditional" inks for use in printing newspapers, magazines, and packaging. Through its Electrographics division, Coates also produces nonimpact marking materials, such as jet inks. Coates was, in fact, one of the pioneers of these inks for industrial applications.
Coates Electrographics Inc. will introduce a full line of compatible inks for Hewlett-Packard and Canon ink jet printers, among others. The inks have been developed to produce high-quality prints on a wide range of papers and will give problem-free peformance over many refills.
Coates will be offering a variety of packaging and pricing options for the convenience of its customers. Service after the sale is provided by a strong technical team.
Coates recognizes that technical skills and innovation alone will not maintain its position as one of the major independent toner and ink jet products. In 1990 Coates Electrographics received ISO9001 certification at its U.K. headquarters, and in 1997 Coates Reprographics achieved ISO9001 certification. The total quality management philosophy commits the company to continual improvement of its products and service.
Coates has recruited John Myers as its ink specialist in the United States. Mr. Myers will be in charge of all the sales and marketing for ink jet products to the North American territory. A complete information book containing all product specifications and packaging, is available.
