Northwest Ribbon Expands with Two Recent Acquistions
Beaverton, Ore. Northwest Ribbon Recycling and Supplies, Inc. has acquired two additional companies.
In November 1998, Northwest acquired the accounts of Laser
Sharp and in December 1998, it acquired Laser Graphics,
a laser printer servicing company. Both are located in the Portland area.
Northwest Ribbon is one of the largest local remanufacturers of computer printer products in the nation
serving markets in Oregon and Washington. Products remanufactured include laser toner, fax toner, copier toner, printer
ribbon and ink jet cartridges. Other services include printer maintenance programs for lasers, dot matrix and ink jet
printers along with selling a wide range of new products for every printer need. With the newly acquired accounts, the
company will be serving 2,000 local organizations. Operating since 1979, Northwest employs more than 25 people located
in four branch offices throughout Oregon and Washington. The remanufactured products save more than 140 tons
of plastic and other garbage from the landfills yearly. Northwest plans to continue to expand its customer base and
service area serving the needs of local organizations within Oregon and Washington.
