SCC's PX/FX2 Odyssey™ Toner Offers OEM-Equivalent Yield
Sanford, NC — Static Control Components has announced the immediate release of the
new PX/FX2 (4L/4P) Odyssey™ toner which enables you to offer a higher value cartridge to your
customers by delivering OEM-equivalent page yield and solid image density. Existing aftermarket
toners have sacrificed yield in order to maintain print density. SCC's PX Odyssey Toner achieves full
OEM-equivalent page-rate yield with an OEM toner load of 160 grams while maintaining print density.
In addition, it is qualified with the Odyssey PX drum and other PX system components
The new PX/FX2 toner is the result of a long-term development project by SCC to
overcome the limitations of existing PX toners. According to John Pickett, toner development
manager, "Achieving the density and yield requirements required a completely new toner formulation.
We started work in 1997 on this product and have been field-testing for a number of months to
confirm its performance in real-world conditions."
As an additional benefit to high-volume remanufacturers using bulk-filling operations, the
PX toner is fully-qualified in FX1, FX2, and FX3 fax cartridges.
And as a further convenience to customers, SCC has also introduced the PX Odyssey toner in
a 200 gram bottle for FX1 applications. SCC's FX1 fax toner is an outstanding value since a 200
gram fill weight delivers OEM-equivalent page-rate yield whereas the OEM toner required 230 grams.
