SCC's TruEdge™ Blades Meet Stringent Quality Standards
Sanford, NC — Static Control Components today released the LX and VX TruEdge™
wiper blades and VX and WX TruEdge doctor blades, giving remanufacturers more blade choices and
the same high standards of quality as SCC's standard blade product line.
According to Bill Gander, operations manager for the Imaging Sales Division, "Our TruEdge
line of wiper blades is in addition to the standard line of wiper blades available from SCC. By offering
two lines we are able to greatly increase the choices available for our customers."
SCC's TruEdge blade product line, co-developed to meet in-house specifications, offers a
wider selection of wiper blades and doctor blades to fit all remanufacturing needs. The TruEdge
replacement Canon®-type wiper blades feature an OEM-style molded profile polyurethane member. Blades are
a critical part in the imaging process, and any deficiency in the blade can cause immediate
cartridge failure. Only the most stringent dimensional and material specifications can deliver the
reliability required for these products. Every SCC blade developed must pass a seven-step proprietary
qualification process. This process includes OEM blade evaluation, physical and performance testing,
system qualification, production sampling, final qualification and continued QC. In addition, all
production shipments go through a multi-step statistical analysis. SCC's qualification standards have become
a benchmark of precision and reliability in the industry.
