Impact your Bottom Line with SCC's Imaging Training Classes

Sanford, NC — To meet customer requests, Static Control's Imaging Training Center (ITC) has additional classes to its offerings. The March schedule is as follows: March 12 is a one-day workshop focusing on two Lexmark® cartridges: the 4019/39/49 series and Optra® S/4059; March 17-19 will feature the popular three-day remanufacturing start-up training classes; and on March 26, the ITC workshop will cover the HP4000/5000 and Pitney Bowes® 9800/9900 cartridges. Resulting from numerous requests, additional three-day training classes have been added to the calendar: April 14-16, and May 19-21.

The day-long workshops will include:

  • Market Overview,
  • Hands-on Remanufacturing Instructions,
  • SCC's Technical Findings,
  • Production Issues,
  • How to Run Print Tests,
  • How to Calculate Yield, and
  • Common Cartridge and Printer Problems/Solutions
Among the topics covered during the three-day classes are:
  • Training for Six Canon®-type Cartridges,
  • Introduction to Electrophotography,
  • How OPCs Work,
  • Toner and How It Works,
  • Components Management,
  • Basic Shop Design and Work Flow,

  • Industry Information.
Static Control's Imaging Training Center has been designed to empower remanufacturers with the most up-to-the-minute cartridge information, research findings, and remanufacturing procedures. Participants get hands-on experience with the entire remanufacturing process: disassembly and reassembly, print testing, and troubleshooting print defects. This helps them build quality cartridges, make informed business decisions, and compete successfully in the replacement cartridge industry. Attendees can immediately implement new procedures to improve production and QC processes that ultimately improve the bottom line.

"We don't just show you — you do the work!" says Bill Vogler, ITC's director of training and consulting services for SCC. "Because of the small class size, everyone gets personalized attention every step of the way. They have an opportunity to learn at his or her own pace."

The facility is well-equipped to create a positive learning environment. "We have state-of-the art audio/visual training equipment," continues Vogler. "All of ITC's staff are supported by the engineers and scientists in the Imaging Labs, giving them direct access to the most accurate information available."
