International Electronic Tracking Welcomes Jim Spencer

Palmetto, Fla. — International Electronic Tracking Company, a division of Florida Ribbon Co. & Recycling Inc., announces that Jim Spencer has been named vice president of marketing. IET has captured a global market through its Data Connection® Service, a cost-per-copy program.

Mr. Spencer joined IET after seven years in the photocopier business with industry giants Lanier and IKON. "In an industry where many have experienced intense competition, lower profit margins and a turbulent move to a new digital universe, one thing remains consistent: the cost-per-copy service programs are providing staggering profits," Spencer said.

"I had an opportunity to spend some time with Jim Tarter, president of IET, and I was very impressed with his vision that the most loyal customer is a customer well taken care of. IET uses preventive maintenance as a solution. The Data Connection technology puts the customer immediately in touch with service and eliminates approximately 90% of emergency calls. This program provides the customer with superior service and predictable costs."

Licensed providers of Data Connection receive training before offering the service to their customers. "Cost-per-copy programs, such as Data Connection, offer tremendous opportunities to licensed service providers and remanufacturers," Spencer said. "It offers high value to decision makers, often bypassing the traditional purchasing approach. The service maintains customer loyalty with annual and multi-year contracts, resulting in improved customer retention and referrals."

The IET provider network is being developed with the goal of joining remanufacturing and service companies across the country into a network with an enhanced ability to service national accounts. IET is carefully selecting and strategically locating providers across the United States.
