TonerPlus Receives HP Authorization
Austin, Texas — TonerPlus was recently selected as an authorized Reseller and
Service Center for Hewlett-Packard. The authorization is a result of an intensive training and
coordination effort by Richard Flores, service manager for TonerPlus.
The authorization allows TonerPlus to perform warranty work on Hewlett-Packard
printers as well as sell HP personal computer, server, printing, imaging, and extended storage products.
TonerPlus is now offering Hewlett-Packard printers to its local market in Austin, TX, and
will also sell to remanufacturers throughout the nation.
Mr. Flores said the process of becoming HP authorized required about four months
of coordination and certifications by Adobe and Microsoft. "There was a requirement
for TonerPlus to be a Microsoft solutions provider," he said. "Therefore, I had to attend
specific Microsoft training classes and gain my certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional."
TonerPlus had to demonstrate a commitment to stay highly trained on HP product lines.
Mr. Flores views the effort well worth it for himself and TonerPlus. TonerPlus intends to open
a new retail establishment in Austin to market printers as a designated HP reseller and to
service HP printers under the new authorization to perform warranty service.
Rick Lanthier, wholesale sales manager for TonerPlus, added, "I think that this new
authorization is special in that it adds yet another component to the growing TonerPlus list of
capabilities within the imaging industry. It makes us that much more rounded as a company."
