LaserCycle Named to Fast 50 List Of Technology Companies

Lenexa, Kan. — LaserCycle, Inc. has been named to the Fast 50 for the Kansas/Western Missouri region for the second year in a row. This year the company ranked third with 1,664 percent growth since 1994. In 1998, the company topped the list with 5,710 percent growth over five years. LaserCycle is a remanufacturer of laser printer cartridges, and its InkCycle, Inc., division remanufactures inkjet cartridges.

Sponsored by Deloitte & Touche, the program recognizes the fastest growing technology companies, based on the percentage of revenue growth in the five-year period from 1994-1998.

Winners of the 19 regional programs are automatically entered in the Deloitte Touche Technology Fast 500 program of the nation's top 500 fastest-growing technology companies. The national winners will be announced in late November. In 1998, LaserCycle ranked 63rd on the Fast 500 list.

Rick Krska, CEO launched LaserCycle in 1992 from his basement. He was soon joined by two former colleagues, Bob Ehlers, principal, and Tom Cunningham, currently vice president of operations. Now with more than $10 million in sales annually, the company has nearly 100 employees.
