LaserLand Offers New Products for the HP 1100 and HP 2100
Sylvan Lake, Mich. — LaserLand is pleased to announce its new line of products for the HP 1100 and HP
2100 machines. Free samples of the products are available upon request.
Recovery Blades: The UserFriendly™ Recovery blades shave minutes off installation. It features a built-in
installation tool and handle for easy handling. The Recovery blade is made of urethane that will retain its original properties despite
rough handling. UserFriendly recovery blades are protected under Patent number 5,878,306 and other patents are pending.
Shipping Seals: Platinum™ shipping seals emulate the OEM in appearance and feel. These seals feature a guide
that assures the tear width meets specification. The Platinum seals tear straighter than ribbon-type seals. The rigid seals are easy
to install and can be repositioned. Remnants of the seal are easily removed in subsequent remanufacturing.

The PinPro
The adhesive in the Platinum seal is masked at the beginning and end to ease tearing force required to remove
the seal. Thus, with a Platinum seal, adhesives of greater strength may be used. The patent for this feature should be
awarded soon. Some other seals simply use a weaker adhesive to ease removal. The Platinum seal for the 2100 requires the use of
a rail foam. Platinum seals are protected by patent number 5,296,902.
Rail Foams: LaserLand manufactures rail foams for the HP 2100 in-house. Our rail foams peel off the
sheet. LaserLand is having a rail foam blowout special.
UserFriendly™ Pins: The UserFriendly 2100-Pin and 1100-Pin have been designed with a recessed head for
easier, faster removal. The pin may be removed without scratching the plastic of the waste toner hopper.
Both the UserFriendly 2100-Pin and 1100-Pin are protected by patent number 5,390,002.
Using the UserFriendly 1100-Pin requires the toner hopper to be slightly modified using the PinPro™, a tool
for removal of the pins on the HP 1100. The time-saving PinPro is a modified soldering iron with a special die that melts
a circular crater around the pin to allow easy removal of the pin.
MagConnection™: The 2100 MagConnection is an electrical contact device that enhances the contact. Having
good contact is vital to the 2100's printing performance at 1200 dpi. This contact enhances the printing of graphics, shades
of gray and half-tones. A MagConnection for the HP
1100 is under development and should be released within 3 months.
Other LaserLand products for the HP 2100 and 1100 include conductive grease; PCRCream for cleaning
and enhancing the natural properties of the PCR; and DeoxCream™ for cleaning oxidation from drums to restore the
OPCs original properties. The Reinforcer for the HP 1100 prevents breakage of the triangle plastic piece at the end of the
cartridge. LaserLand also recommends using its performance-enhancing Methuselah™ Padding Powder. It will remain on
the drum and wiper blade for over 8,000 pages and has no harmful effects on the PCR when used properly.
Methuselah powder is compatible with most toners.
