Image Control Fulfills an Undeveloped Ink Jet Market
Toronto, Canada Image Control, an imaging products manufacturer, has responded to an undeveloped niche market users of less common ink jet printers wanting to recycle their toner cartridges. The top four ink jet manufacturers Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Lexmark and Epson
are well served with inkjet refill kits. But Image Control kept getting requests for Apple, Brother, DEC, NEC, Olivetti, Texas Instruments, Xerox and other obscure ink jet cartridge refilling solutions.
Users are motivated both by environmental concerns and the fact that some of these new inkjet cartridges cost more than $70 at retail, and might produce less than 100 pages of dense graphics.
Marketing restrictions, including extra brackets or small variations in cartridge shape, also often exist to prevent printer users from installing slightly less expensive prototypes rather than licensed versions of the original cartridges.
Image Control has responded to these factors. Each ink jet ink type meets exacting criteria for dye or pigment base, viscosity, pH and trace elements. Image Control has developed ink jet refill kits for more than 600 printer and fax makes and models.
