MKG, XPS form European Alliance
MKG Cartridge Systems has joined forces with Netherlands-based XPS to create a formidable new recharging joint venture in Europe.
Named MKG Europe, the new company will draw upon the combined strengths of the two partners to establish major marketing partnerships and launch an MKG-branded cartridge line throughout the European Economic Community.
"We are very excited about the potential of the new company," said MKG President Michael Grist. "The toner cartridge market in Europe has traditionally lagged behind the North American market, but we believe it is about to accelerate rapidly. We want to be there as
it takes off."
The two partners bring complementary strengths to the new joint venture. "MKG has great technological depth and a strong emphasis on marketing and customer service," said XPS President Jan van der Steen. "XPS is an established European cartridge manufacturer
with excellent business relationships throughout Europe. Combining our strengths in the new joint venture brings us outstanding prospects for success."
MKG and XPS have similar business philosophies and corporate cultures. Both companies have built their businesses on strong, long term relationships with major partners, an uncompromising emphasis on quality and manufacturing innovation. The two companies are
ISO 9002 registered, and both are comfortable operating high-volume production facilities.
MKG Europe will market its toner cartridge products through major distribution channels throughout Europe. "Our emphasis is on building mutually-beneficial long term partnerships with distributors, original equipment manufacturers and other rechargers," Grist
said. "This approach links our success with our customers' success, a model which has worked very well for MKG in North America."
MKG Europe will be headquartered in the Netherlands, and will manufacture its products in Europe.
