Static Control Expands Color Line to Include HP Color LaserJet 5 Toner
Sanford, N.C. — Static Control Components announces the release of color toners for the HP Color
LaserJet
® and
LaserJet
® 5/5M color laser printer
(Konica
® engines). Static's new LaserJet 5 toner delivers the vibrancy, clarity, contrast and text quality compatible with
the 'EM toner and meets the requirements of the HP technology. This new product offering expands Static's color product line to seven different engines, opening the door for all remanufacturers to join in the color revolution with higher profit margins. There is more to come
as future product releases for 10 color engines are currently under development.
The Hewlett-Packard
® Color
LaserJet
®, released in 1994, and the HP LaserJet 5, released in 1996, have sizable existing installed bases that are ripe with opportunities for remanufacturers. Static's new LaserJet 5 toner will please the customer with excellent attainable
color ranges and page yield comparable to the 'EM. LaserJet 5 toner is available in all four colors of yellow, cyan, magenta and black.
Static's color laser development program, initiated nearly two years ago, has delivered a wide variety of total color solutions placing remanufacturers in the position to capture the higher profits associated with color products. The main stay of SCC's color
development program is the
PhotoPrecise
™ Color System, which ensures a highly accurate range of 'EM compatible color output. Complete color systems, utilizing
PhotoPrecise
™ technology, are available for the
Optra
® C and QMS
®
magicolor
® 2.
Additionally, Static offers black toner for the HP 8500 and HP 4500 color printers. Color toners, drum, PCR, wiper and doctor blades are currently in development for the 4500. Additional
PhotoPrecise
™ products, introduced earlier this year, are the compatible solid inks
for the Tektronix
®
Phaser
® 340, 350, 360 and 840 series color laser printers. Color solids allow remanufacturers high margins, easy integration into their existing product lines and virtually no support issues since color solids are end-user installed.
