R-Jet Tek and OCP Form OCP-USA

Colorado Springs, Colo. — R-Jet Tek and OCP have formed a joint venture, OCP-USA Inc., to capture a share of the premium ink jet ink market in North America.

R-Jet Tek is a leading manufacturer of automated ink jet cartridge processing systems and manufacturing supplies. OCP GmbH, headquartered in Hattingen, Germany, is a leading ink manufacturer in Europe. The new OCP-USA is owned equally by the respective companies and individual investors. It will be head quartered in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Steve Johnson, president of R Jet Tek said, "We are delighted to be able to participate jointly with OCP. They have an excellent reputation for producing the highest quality ink and are highly respected in the industry. We look forward to offering OCP ink 'made in America' to our customers."

OCP's President Herr Horst Edelmeier said, "We expect to garner a significant share of the desktop ink market in the USA just as we have done throughout the European community." Edelmeier said the high cost of freight and the absence of a US partner has kept their primary production in Europe, Asia and Africa.

The manufacturing facility and production will be under the direction of Dr. Siegfreid Koch, a founding partner of OCP and 20-year veteran of Geha. All formulas are those of OCP.

Mike Warner, vice president of sales, said, "While the market is competitive, it is ready for this premium quality ink." He is especially optimistic about acceptance of the pigment inks for the HP29 and 45 cartridges and the Lexmark 12A1970. These inks are formulated to work in previously used cartridges while meeting stringent OEM characteristics.
