VICO Acquires Dongsung Assets, Partners with OTC
Sarasota, Fla. — VICO Technologies, Inc., Sarasota, Fla., manufacturer of precision machined shafts, elastomer rollers, and mechanical subassemblies, announces the acquisition of the assets of Dongsung America Co., Inc. in Fredericksburg, Va. and Henderson,
Nev. as of April 28, 2000. VICO intends to use the facilities to produce products that will increase vertical integration of manufacturing capabilities as a coating specialist.
The new operation will be organized as Integrated Coating Technologies, LLC. In conjunction with the acquisition and operation launch, VICO Technologies, Inc. has entered into an agreement with Optical Technologies Corp., of Long Island City, N.Y., for the
development and supply of coating materials.
"I see the high level, high volume expertise at VICO as a tremendous benefit in terms of cost control and quality control for new mag sleeves, PCRs and various other coated products," said Optical Technologies Corp. President, Lester Cornelius. "The
equipment acquired from Dongsung is very sophisticated, and VICO's engineering team is currently re-engineering the process to accommodate various coatings."

their demanding specifications and we will apply that same discipline to ICT in support of the remanufacturing industry."
Integrated Coating Technologies, LLC will initially be involved in the coating of charge rollers and magnetic developer rollers for use in laser printers and fax machines. Future plans call for the development of products and coating technologies for use in other
diverse applications and markets.
