Colour-Tek Introduces Dust Extraction Systems

Brisbane, Australia — After almost 12 months of research and modifications, Colour-Tek Pty Ltd. is pleased to release a range of dust extraction units for the remanufacturing industry.

These units incorporate a central dump station on castors that can be utilized in most work environments. The unit is driven by a separate filter and fitted with a choice of a 2Hp, 3Hp or 5Hp motor. The motors are available with twin or quad inlets for multiple station connections. The units are rated at 1200cfm, 1900cfm and the 5 horsepower unit at 2683 cfm.

The final filters are rated at 3 micron or for the recharger specializing in colour a 0.04 micron final filter is available. The larger 5 horsepower unit has two final filters.

"The advantages with these units is the ability to place the final filter and drive engines away from the main dump station," said Stewart Norton. "The safety aspect of having a motor away from the main dump unit and the mobility of them is a major design plus. The reusable filters also add to the cost-effectiveness of these systems. These units are customized so the drive motors can be placed 10 meters or more away."

"The standard two-horsepower unit which we run has turned our factory into a clean, pleasant place to operate. The fact that the white walls in our factory are still white after 12 months of continual use gives these units credibility without a large price tag," Norton adds.

Included in the range are two heavy-duty air filters, which remove airborne contaminants. They are efficient, economical and easy to install. The double filter design is capable of filtering up to 98 percent of airborne dust particles with no outside venting required. Both units run five-micron filters and are ideally suited to drum coating rooms.

At this stage, all of Colour-Tek's units are only available in 220-240 volt. They are designed for the Asia-Pacific market.
