Encore Ribbon Receives State WRAP Award For Cutting Waste
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For its outstanding efforts to reduce waste and protect the environment, Encore Ribbon, Inc. in Sonoma County has been named a winner in the 2001 Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) sponsored by the California Intergraded Waste Management Board.
For more than 25 years, Encore Ribbon, Inc. has diverted hundreds of tons of plastics and metals from bay-area landfills. Its printer maintenance program for laser, ink jet and dot matrix printers extends the life of the printer, preventing premature disposal in the landfill. By recycling, companies can expect to save 10 to 30 percent on their printer supplies.
