QIP Raises the Quality Bar, Promotes Curtis Baird and Steve Yager
LAKE FOREST, Calif. Quality Imaging Products announces the recent promotions of Curtis Baird and Steve Yager to plant manager and operations manager, respectively.
Baird joined the QIP management team in May 2001 as warehouse manager and was responsible for overseeing QIP's shipping and receiving operations. As plant manager, he will be responsible for QIP's production, testing, packaging, shipping and receiving departments.
Baird has more than 20 years of experience in large-scale production and warehouse environments. Previously, he was the director of operations for Udeco.com, an e-commerce warehouse and distribution home furnishing company based in Santa Ana, Calif. Prior to working at Udeco.com, Baird was the distribution center manager for Berkley Industries and was responsible for the warehousing and distribution operations of a 193,000-square-foot thermo forming and contract packaging center. Baird also has experience in military commissary distribution, food distribution and retail distribution. He attended San Diego State University and received his AA from Rio Hondo Jr. College.

Steve Yager joined the QIP management team in April 1996 as QIP's plant manager and was responsible for overseeing all of QIP's production, testing, packaging, shipping, and receiving departments. During his five years at QIP, Yager assisted in one facility move, the launch of more than 60 new products, 800 percent growth, and the implementation of many ISO 9000 practices throughout the company. In his new position as operations manager, he will be responsible for managing QIP's quality, productivity, capacity planning and new product development. Mr. Yager has more than 8 years of experience in manufacturing environments. Mr.Yager received his B.S. from California State University, Fresno, with a major in industrial technology and a minor in manufacturing industries in control electronics.
