Static Control Expands Its Product Lineup for the HP1000/1200
SANFORD, N.C. — Static Control recently released additional products for
the HP1000/1200 cartridge. Static Control engineers have developed a pin removal
tool kit to remove safely and efficiently the cartridge pins without damaging
the cartridge. Additional releases include the Odyssey drum with gears, and
SecureRite MICR toner in 150g and 225g bottles.
Like many of the newer HP cartridges, simply pounding the pins into the cartridge
is not an option because it ruins the cartridge. Static Control has developed
a method that allows you to remove the pins without worry. The Pin Removal Kit
includes a Plexiglas hopper jig to hold the cartridge in place, a fixture to
set on top of the cartridge to ensure that you drill in the correct place, a
drill bit with a collet so that you drill to just the right depth (drilling
too deeply can ruin the cartridge) and the curved pin removal tool which allows
you to neatly push the pins out of the cartridge.
Static Control has also developed an HP1000/1200 drum with gears using Odyssey
technology. When used with SCC toner, the drum has a toner usage of 60 —
65 grams per 1000 pages. The density is 1.40 — 1.53. This drum has been
exclusively designed for the HP1000/1200 cartridge.
In addition to SCC's existing designated HP1000/1200 toner, Static has
released HP1000/1200 SecureRite MICR toner. This toner is available in two sizes,
150g and 225g bottles. It has been tested to maintain correct and consistent
signal strength for optimum readability. As with all SCC MICR toners, the HP1000/1200
SecureRite MICR toner is guaranteed to produce MICR-encoded checks readable
by financial institutions, the Federal Reserve System and the Canadian Payments
Association when used as instructed with appropriate supporting equipment and
software (software needs to support specific printer MICR fonts and placement).
