Static Control Introduces Over 25 Products for the HP4100
SANFORD, N.C. Recently Static Control announced a major product release
for the HP4100. Twenty-five products were introduced to help customers take
immediate advantage of this growing market. These products solve many of the
issues in remanufacturing 4100 cartridges.
These newly released products for the HP4100 include the Odyssey drum with
and without the insert, Odyssey mag roller, mag roller bushings, a 4000 to 4100
cartridge conversion kit, a power cartridge splitting system, a mag roller sealing
blade, wiper blade, wiper blade end foam and sealing foam, recovery blade, doctor
blade sealing foam, hopper cap, sealing channel end foams open and closed,
sealing channel rail foam contact end, and rigid-type RapidSeal with
pull tab. Static Control has also developed packaging supplies for the HP4100,
including a cartridge box, cartridge label and cartridge box label.
Static Control developed mag roller bushings for the HP4100 to address the
problem of low page yield. Current aftermarket toner formulations are not making
'EM yields and in some cases there can be yields as much as 30 percent less
than the 'EM. Static's bushing solution offers dramatic improvements in
yield by expanding the development gap the distance between the developer
roller and the OPC drum. Static recommends these bushings be used with Odyssey
HP4000 toner, which is fully qualified to work in the HP4100.
Many remanufacturers have also experienced a lack of HP4100 empties. Static
Control solved this problem with the release of a conversion kit, which allows
a user to make the plentiful HP4000 cartridges work as more lucrative HP4100
cartridges. The kit contains everything to successfully convert up to 50 cartridges:
a jig designed to facilitate the conversion process, a Roto-Zip and conversion
bit, 50 conversion patch/inserts, adhesive, applicator and nozzle. Learn more
about the conversion kit by visiting the new SCC Cinema at www.scc-inc.com/cinema/.
Because it is crucial to cartridge performance to split the HP4100 cartridge
at the correct positions, conventional splitting is not an option. Static Control's
Power Cartridge Splitting System provides a unique solution to this problem.
A pneumatic air cylinder pushes the cartridge assembly through stationary blades.
This ensures that the contact on the cartridge remains intact. If these contacts
are broken, the cartridge is no longer usable. Static engineers have also developed
locking clips to reseal the cartridge. Used correctly, these clips eliminate
the potential of cartridge bowing. There is a demonstration video available
with SCC Cinema at www.scc-inc.com/cinema/.
The current release complements Static's existing products, such as the
recently released HP4100 Pin Removal Tool. This tool, crafted of brushed stainless
steel, removes the pin quickly and safely. Save considerable processing time
and minimize the risk of damage to your HP4100 cartridges by using this tool.
