MKG Enters Inkjet Market; Will Offer High-Quality Inkjet Cartridges
ONTARIO — MKG Cartridge Systems is pleased to announce it has expanded its
product lineup to include high-quality inkjet cartridges.
MKG will now offer
a full line of inkjet products through a distribution agreement with Hitachi
Koki Imaging Solutions, Inc. (HiKIS) under the Dataproducts brand name finalized
early in February. Under the agreement, MKG will sell the full Dataproducts
brand inkjet lineup, which includes Epson and Canon compatible cartridges, HP
and Lexmark remanufactured cartridges and Dataproducts inkjet refill
kits.
“Increasingly, inkjet and laser printers are working side by side in
the North American offices,” said Michael Grist, president. “Our partnership
with HiKIS will enable our distributor, dealer and recharger customers to expand
its sales by offering what we believe are the best compatible and remanufactured
inkjet cartridges on the market.”
Sales opportunities in the rapidly growing
inkjet market are enormous. HiKIS estimates that worldwide inkjet cartridge
revenues now exceed those of laser toner cartridges, with sales projected to
reach $24 billion by 2004. “It is clear to us that any growth strategy in the
printer consumables market has to include inkjet,” Grist said.
The
partnership with HiKIS is a natural fit for MKG, Grist noted. “We wanted to deal
with a company whose quality focus is as strong as our own,” he said. “Both
companies are ISO 9000 registered and have built their reputations on product
quality. We’re excited to be able to offer our customers access to Dataproducts’
exceptional inkjet products.”
