MICR Tech Inc. Outsources Channel Sales to Frontline Associates Inc.
BROWNSTOWN, Ind. — MICR Tech Inc., a leading
international solutions provider for laser printer MICR (Magnetic Ink Character
Recognition) products, announced that it is outsourcing its channel sales
function to a national sales company called FrontLine Associates Inc.
FrontLine Associates will sell MICR Tech’s “Complete
MICR Solution,” which allows all sizes of organizations to print their
own checks and official documents with laser printers.
Under the agreement, FrontLine Associates will initially
focus its sales efforts within the office products channel, specifically
contract stationers and wholesalers.
“MICR printing is no longer a ‘niche’
market,” said Tom Dyer, MICR Tech’s president, “and a growing
number of small to large businesses have recognized the value and security of
printing checks and other negotiable documents in-house and are looking for
MICR solutions from their office products vendors.”
According to Al Segreti, president of FrontLine Associates,
“The traditional contract or commercial stationer is an emerging channel
for the sales of MICR printing solutions. This channel has been focused on
high-margin computer and imaging supplies, PC software and document and print
management solutions; therefore, adding MICR printing solutions to the product
mix is a natural extension of the high level of service they bring to their
customers.”
Since 1989, MICR Tech has provided MICR solutions and
consulting, and a complete line of products for secure MICR check and document
printing including MICR toner cartridges, printers, software, blank check stock
and testing equipment. It also provides the formatting of MICR font, check
signatures and logos.
