Parts Now! Has Another Record Sales Year
MADISON, Wis. — International laser printer parts
distributor Parts Now! announced record sales of more than $74 million in 2002,
more than a 13 percent increase over 2001 sales. Parts Now! officials cited
continued expansion of internal resources and employees, a new online ordering
system and changes in Lexmark’s printer-part distribution structure,
which allowed Parts Now! new opportunities to grow Lexmark parts sales.
The announcement, which came despite the sluggish economy in
the past year, marked the 14th straight year Parts Now! had increased sales
from the previous year — every year since its inception in 1989.
“2002 was a great year for a lot of different reasons,
and really showed that Parts Now! will continue to explore new areas where we
can provide better service,” CEO and President Dan Olszewski said.
“Our customers have let us know that they appreciate the ease of ordering
via our Web site and our expanded inventory of Lexmark parts.”
Olszewski said that the November acquisition of printer part
distributor CPG, which had previously been named HP’s Outstanding
Achievement winner, helped give sales a boost at the end of 2002 and create
momentum for the 2003 sales year.
“The CPG acquisition provided us with new distribution
channels and additional intelligent, motivated staff that bring new perspective
and desire to contribute Parts Now!,” he said. “I think its
addition will aid us in reaching new heights once again this year.”
