TonerPlus Supports ACRA by Contributing a Percentage of Sales
AUSTIN, Texas — As the ACRA v. Lexmark lawsuit
progresses toward a trial date in October 2003, and with the decision
ultimately having a large impact on the remanufacturing industry, it is
imperative that the industry step up its support. Beginning in 2003, TonerPlus
launched its “ACRA Initiative,” with a commitment to contribute a
percentage of all Lexmark parts and labels sales to ACRA. This money will help
to defray litigation costs. In this way, by rebuilding Lexmark cartridges the
remanufacturing industry is participating in ACRA’s support.
TonerPlus also serves as an intermediary for customer contributions
by partnering in the ACRA “1% Program.” TonerPlus customers can add
1 percent of the cost of their purchases to an order, which will then be
forwarded to ACRA in conjunction with the company’s sales percentage
contribution. This provides an easy, no-hassle way for rechargers to contribute
to a cause that will impact the entire industry.
TonerPlus Director of Sales Raymond Peak said, “We are
concerned with the extraordinary implications of this litigation and are
therefore committed to maximizing our efforts as a company to assist in
triggering the industry to support the ACRA effort.”
