Joy James Sells InkCycle Shares to LaserCycle, Starts Joy James Group

DANA POINT, Calif. — Former vice president and co-founder of InkCycle Joy James has sold her minority ownership in the company, completed a management contract and announced the start of the Joy James Group, an independent consulting practice with the mission of growing people and organizations.

Specializing in organizational development, marketing and strategy, the Joy James Group offers consulting and corporate training services such as business/marketing plans and on-site strategic-planning workshops.

A leading force within the remanufacturing industry for more than a decade, James started her career in the remanufacturing industry working on the senior staff of Hitachi Koki (formerly DataProducts), and later went on to expand geographically and grow Environmental Reclamation Services before starting InkCycle in 1998.

She has been a regular contributing writer for Recharger Magazine since 1998, has won several industry awards and is known for presenting high-content power management seminars. James served on the ACCR legislative committee from 1998 to 2001, and has testified on behalf of the remanufacturing industry in several states.

"It’s exciting to have the opportunity to share some of my business knowledge with other companies in the industry," said James. "My practical experience starting, growing and managing companies (on both the raw material and finished sides of the industry) gives me unique perspectives and insight that can save my clients valuable time and money."

James holds both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration/marketing from California State University Northridge, and currently serves on the board for the California State University Northridge Center for Business and Entrepreneurship.
