rüegger engineering Introduces New Filling System
THOMPSON’S STATION,
Tenn. — rüegger engineering introduced its fully automated flushing
and filling system for the HP 315 and 645 cartridges.
The new state-of-the-art,
PLC-controlled systems first remove the metal ball, then clean the nozzles.
Before the filling system refills with the desired amount of ink, it ensures
that all the bags are empty. Once the cartridges are filled, a new metal ball
is inserted and the cartridges are balanced at the same time. The Alpha100 and
Beta200 systems operate on 2.5-minute cycles for 12 cartridges per cycle
(approximately 300 cartridges an hour). The cartridges are handled in racks,
each of which holds six cartridges at a time. The racks are placed on a
conveyor and do not have to be manually handled until the cartridges are filled
and ready for testing and the racks are discharged. The flushing and filling
system can easily be operated by one qualified person.
