OMD Launches New Integrated Bar Code Scanning Solution
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — OMD Corporation announced the release of OMD Bar Code Scanning. Using the latest in bar code technology, OMD has developed this solution to provide OMD users with a more efficient method for controlling all aspects of their inventory.
The new OMD Bar Code Scanning features will be seamlessly integrated into OMD software. Utilizing a handheld Palm device with a Symbol scanner, a dealership’s staff will be able to scan inventory receipts, scan transfers and perform physical counts for all types of inventory management. According to OMD President Donna McAnany, "This technology will save our customers time and money by eliminating data-entry errors, resulting in accurate inventory counts, improved inventory control and minimized write-offs for equipment, supplies and parts. Bar code scanning provides an efficient method for processing receipts, transfers and physical inventory, which reduces staffing requirements."
