Parts Now! Announces New CEO and CFO
MADISON, Wis. – Parts Now! announced the naming of Jay Spaanem as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), along with the promotion of Tom Marten to Spaanem’s previous position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Since joining Parts Now! as CFO in 2000, Spaanem has been instrumental in the company’s success and has constantly strived to improve all facets of the organization. His strong financial background and experience with long-term strategic planning make for a diverse knowledge base to draw on in his new position. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Spaanem is a Certified Public Accountant.
Marten, who started in Parts Now!’s accounts receivable department in April 1992, also served in the development of Parts Now!’s southeast branch. In 1996, Marten was promoted to controller, a position he held until his promotion to CFO.
"Those that have worked closely with Tom know that he’s extremely dedicated and has a strong work ethic," Spaanem said. "I know that in his new position, he will continue to help Parts Now! succeed and grow."
