QIP Promotes Tim Purugganan to Marketing Manager
LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Quality Imaging Products (QIP), a leader in toner and inkjet cartridge manufacturing, recently announced that Tim Purugganan has been promoted to marketing manager.
"Tim Purugganan joined QIP in February 1999 and has been a vital part of the sales team," said QIP President Martin Stein. "He has been instrumental in developing and growing QIP’s major accounts while also promoting QIP’s image as a leader in our industry."
As marketing manager, Purugganan will be responsible for maintaining and developing QIP’s marketing efforts. His duties have been expanded to include catalog publication, sell-sheet design, trade-show management, print ads, mailers, fax and e-news product updates, as well as keeping inventory counts of promotional items’ stock.
"I’m genuinely excited about the additional responsibilities and look forward to working closely with our R&D department on new product development and releases," Purugganan said. In addition to his marketing duties, Purugganan will continue to manage QIP’s East Coast territory. "Sales and marketing go hand in hand, so I am looking forward to being in a position that will help continue to keep QIP as the best profit source for our dealers," he added.
Prior to joining QIP, Purugganan was general manager at VAL Circuits Inc., a Santa Ana, Calif.-based printed circuit board manufacturer. In that role he oversaw all aspects of daily operations including sales, marketing and production planning, as well as maintaining correspondence with the local government regulatory agencies. Early VAL Circuit customers included Gateway Computers, Advance Logic Research, Harris Computers, Telenex, AST Research, Emulex, Western Digital and Kingston Technologies.
Purugganan also worked for Visual Media/Broadcast Services, a division of publicity and marketing at the Walt Disney Company, where he was responsible for maintaining a video library of stock Disneyland park shots and helping with the logistics of in-park live remote shoots.
Purugganan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
