Graphic Technologies Introduces New Products
CAMARILLO, Calif. – Graphic Technologies recently announced the release of new products along with the expanded availability of other products. The new products include MasterChips and Velvetone toner and drum combinations for the HP 1300, 2300, 4100 and 4200/4300; a further development of the T-Seal toner cartridge seal; and new additions to the range of Velvetone OPC drums.
"The MasterChip and Velvetone toner and drum combinations provide excellent image quality, minimum background, and yield that approximates or exceeds the OEM performance when tested side by side." said Joe Cachia, director of program development. "Our overall component solution makes the remanufacturing of these HP cartridges very practical."
Graphic Technologies has also released new additions to its range of T-Seal products. One product is for wide page-width printers such as the Canon WX and HP 8100, and the other is for HP 4600 cartridges. This seal eliminates the need to split cartridges.
This wide seal provides an advantage for rechargers that split the wide cartridges. Eliminating the added disassembly, splitting, gluing, clipping, reassembly, machine and tool maintenance (not to mention the danger from high-speed blades) is a major cost savings and quality improvement.
The T-Seal eliminates the bulk of the costs and quality issues of splitting, by providing a seal that installs with no special equipment; requires no major disassembly of the cartridge; and can be completed in less than one minute. Once installed, it makes the cartridge essentially leak-free; allows for the cartridge to be shipped via ground or airfreight as needed; and is easily removed by the end user.
The T-Seal and installation tool are constructed of sturdy industrial-grade polyester, die-cut to a shape specific to fit into the major wide-format cartridges that require seals. Installation takes place after a cartridge has been given final testing, and simply requires that the toner hopper and the waste hopper be separated. This kit will fit HP/Canon BX, WX and 8100.
The T-Seal for the 4600 is somewhat different than the other seals. Instead of a helper tab that is cut off, the pull tab itself is inserted into the cartridge.
Based on input from its customers on the original T-Seal, Graphic Technologies re-designed the helper tab on the seal for easier, quicker insertion. This will make installation of the seal significantly easier and the improvements are to be found in both the new Wide T-Seal as well as the original Universal T-Seal. The Universal T-Seal may be used in remanufacturing more than 20 different cartridges.
"Using the T-Seal helps remanufacturers substantially reduce manufacturing costs," Cachia said. "The T-Seal eliminates expensive cartridge splitting. There is no cutting, gluing or clipping, nor are there any costly hopper replacement parts required in remanufacturing cartridges that would otherwise need to be split. This is only one part of the benefit in reduced manufacturing costs and increased productivity."
Graphic Technologies announced new additions to its range of OPC drums under its premium Velvetone brand name as well. The new drums in the range are for the HP 1300, 2300 and 4200/4300.
