Quality Imaging Products Becomes STMC Certified
LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Quality Imaging Products (QIP), a worldwide leader in toner and inkjet cartridge manufacturing, recently announced that it has received STMC certification. "This certification helps support our goal to be the verifiable industry leader in quality," said Martin Stein, QIP president. "We are strong believers that implementing these types of processes will give us measurable results."
"The committee’s focus is to find and promote standardized test methods for the printer cartridge industry," said Susana Arellano, QIP quality manager. "They have selected elements of ASTM, ISO, ISTA and ANSI test methods and adapted them to our industry’s testing requirements to evaluate toner printer cartridge performance. Every quality-assurance employee at QIP has been successfully trained by an ASTM-authorized trainer and we were given the certification on our first attempt."
"The STMC certification is a critical step in our industry’s evolution," said Lester Cornelius, chairman of the STMC and International Imaging Technology Council. "Consumers need to feel confident in the quality of the remanufactured toner cartridges that are being produced. By becoming STMC certified, Quality Imaging Products, as a major remanufacturer, is contributing positively to the progress of our industry."
