Cartridges Are Us Provides Refill Option for New HP Cartridges

ITHACA, Mich. — Cartridges Are Us has announced the availability of a refill option for the new HP 94, 95, 96, 97 and 99 cartridges. “With these new cartridges, we can offer an option to refill them for any customer who has the empties available. Generally, it will take six to 12 months before there is a steady supply of empties, and we can begin offering them as off-the-shelf product,” said Dominic Iocco, general manager. “The ink used in these cartridges will not be able to match the fade resistance found in these new cartridges from HP,” Iocco said. “HP is claiming around 100 years of fade resistance using its testing procedures. Aftermarket ink suppliers have not developed an ink that can match this level of fade resistance. “We believe that the vast majority of customers do not need a 100-year lifespan on their digital prints. Most customers would choose to save money over an archival life span,” Iocco continued. “Once suitable inks become available, we will release a version that matches. Until then, consumers can be informed of the difference and given the choice. Some will want to pay extra for longer-life prints; others will want to save money. We are at least giving them that choice.” The option is available through the company’s Refill-My-Empties program. Customers are required to supply the empty cartridges. Cartridges Are Us has been remanufacturing inkjet cartridges since 1997. An industry pioneer, the company offers customers a complete line of quality remanufactured products. Selling more than 100,000 cartridges each month, Cartridges Are Us is an industry leader in remanufactured inkjet technology.
