R-Jet Tek Names Victor Johnson Director of Communications
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – R-Jet Tek has promoted Victor Johnson to the position of director of communications for R-Jet Tek. Johnson, who has been with the company since its founding in 1989, will be responsible for all the company’s external communications, including print collateral, and coordinating all advertising and training materials. He will also be in charge of R-Jet Tek’s trade exhibit booth, coordinating graphics, shipping and setup/tear down. Additionally, Johnson, who is the brother of chairman and CTO Steve Johnson, will handle Web site development and deployment.
"We needed an experienced, one-person clearinghouse for coordinating all of our communication needs," said President and CEO Mike Warner. "Vic’s extensive knowledge of a broad range of computer applications allows us to do in-house what many other companies must outsource at much higher costs."
Johnson, a Microsoft certified systems engineer, will oversee the company’s computer network and PBX phone system. He is the author of The Ink Jet Guide for Entrepreneurs, one of the industry’s first how-to manuals for individuals setting up an inkjet remanufacturing business. As an accomplished photographer, Johnson does most of R-Jet Tek’s product and training photography.
"A huge plus for us is his experience using wide-format inkjet printers and the RIP software needed to run them," Warner said. "This alone results in savings of thousands of dollars each year for the company."
