R-Jet Tek Marks 15-Year Anniversary
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. R-Jet Tek, a leader in inkjet remanufacturing technology, is celebrating its 15th anniversary in business this month.
Ernest Johnson established the company in 1989 as Ribbon Jet Tek. Johnson developed a process for re-inking the ribbon cartridge for his ribbon printer. Realizing the opportunity for remanufacturing cartridges for the growing inkjet printer industry, he committed himself to refining systems and processes. His innovations in ribbon technologies have passed with ribbon printing itself, but many of his designs for inkjets are still being used today.
The company was passed to son Steve Johnson in 1996, who still provides the vision for the company as its chief technology officer. Steve renamed the company R-Jet Tek to reflect the companys leadership role in newer technology. Since 1995, R-Jet Tek has been designing and building innovative machines and accessories for inkjet cartridge remanufacturing, as well as pioneering processes and techniques to enhance the profitability of its customers. The company now considers itself a "OneSource" resource for inkjet cartridge remanufacturing. From machines to supplies and complete systems, the catalog is complete and comprehensive, and the companys Web site is a powerful information resource for the industry.
"Like the industry we serve, we are evolving as a company," Steve Johnson said. "We are committed to constantly monitoring the feedback from our customers to respond with innovative solutions to improve their bottom lines. We are very grateful to our customers for helping us earn the status as industry leaders and are dedicated to the responsibility that comes with our leadership role."
R-Jet Tek is located at the foot of Pikes Peak. It has grown from a family business to one of the best known inkjet remanufacturing innovators in the business today, conducting business worldwide.
R-Jet Tek designs and manufactures high-reliability engineered inkjet refilling machines and is the exclusive North American distributor for OCP inks from Germany. R-Jet Tek is an international company doing business in more than 100 countries. R-Jet Tek Academy is the companys training program, offering classes at its Colorado Springs facility and on location around the world.
