Recharger Magazine Welcomes Monica Miceli as Associate Editor
LAS VEGAS Recharger Magazine recently welcomed Monica Miceli to its editorial team as associate editor. She will write articles for the magazine and edit contributed pieces.
Miceli has several years of editorial and writing experience, having worked in both the book and magazine publishing industries. Most recently, she was an editor at Stephens Press, a Las Vegas-based regional trade book and magazine publisher. There she worked on Cerca magazine, an outdoor sports publication focused on the Western United States. She also edited a range of books about the West, including ones on the history of boxing in Las Vegas, hiking the Grand Canyon, the legacy of the UNLV basketball team and the Las Vegas sex industry. Prior, she worked in editorial acquisitions and development for the University of Nevada Press, a scholarly publisher. Miceli also writes, edits and tutors on a freelance basis, often for doctoral dissertation students and aspiring writers.
"Monicas literary background and writing skills have really added a new dimension to the editorial staff," said Managing Editor Amy Turner. "Shes a great team player, and a wonderful addition to Recharger Magazine."
Miceli is a Las Vegas native and attended the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating with a degree in English Literature before returning to her hometown. She has recently begun an online MBA program through Grand Canyon University and is already looking forward to a Ph.D. program.
