Caboodle Cartridge Expands Lab and Staff
SANTA CLARA, Calif. Caboodle Cartridge has expanded its primary Silicon Valley-based laboratory and hired a senior director of production and technology to help support the rapid national growth of Caboodle Cartridge franchises. Caboodle also announced plans to open dozens of other locations around the country within the next several months.
All rebuild and recharge operations for the retail stores are done at the main lab at the companys Santa Clara headquarters. With the addition of 6,000 square feet, Tien Nguyen, the new director of production and technology, will oversee expansion of the main lab, managing quality control and increasing production. Nguyen was formerly technical director at Cartridge World and vice president of operations at Toner Charge.
Caboodle Cartridge is creating a new channel for inkjet and laser printer cartridges by introducing an advanced recharging laboratory and retail service outlets. Caboodle Cartridge enables printer users to simply walk into a local store and have their cartridges exchanged within minutes.
"Our expansion helps us meet the needs of our rapidly growing network of franchisees, enabling us to expand our product line and ensure the delivery of high-quality cartridges for a national customer base," said Daniel Wencel, founder and president of Caboodle Cartridge. "Tien is highly regarded in the recharging industry, bringing to Caboodle a tremendous level of knowledge and experience. Tien will help us continue our growth as the only technically advanced, high-quality cartridge recharging and refilling solution in North America."
Caboodle Cartridge is the first company in North America to build an advanced facility to rebuild and recharge laser and inkjet cartridges that are of or exceed OEM quality, while others simply refill the ink and toner. It also is the only company to open dedicated retail outlets allowing customers to walk in and instantly receive good-as-new replacements. Caboodle recharges popular color and mono laser and inkjet cartridges, including Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Panasonic, Lexmark, Brother, Samsung, Minolta and Epson.
Caboodles founders have invested in a state-of-the-art recharging facility that does not compromise quality and offers substantial savings. When servicing laser printer cartridges, the company refills the toner and also replaces the inside components. Typical savings are 40 to 60 percent of the price of a new cartridge.
Franchise locations include Santa Clara, Saratoga, Vallejo, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Fresno, Newark and Fremont, Calif. Last month Caboodle opened locations in Eugene, Ore., Marlborough, Mass. and Saint Joseph, Mo.
