Arlington Industries Names Scheer National Sales Manager

WAUKEGAN, Ill. — Arlington Industries recently hired Jim Scheer as its national sales manager.

Scheer, who will be based in Arlington’s Atlanta office, will be responsible for growing and developing major accounts on a national level. He will report directly to Al Carroll, vice president of sales and marketing.

“As the national sales manager at Arlington Industries, my goals are to increase Arlington’s presence in the market, particularly with office supply dealers, value-added re-sellers (VARs), and toner providers,” Scheer said. “By putting an emphasis on Arlington’s strengths including communicating our expertise in hard-to find-products, offering one of the broadest lines of compatible printer supplies, and giving our customers the most professional, dependable and knowledgeable people in the industry, I believe I will be able to differentiate Arlington in the market.”

Scheer has a tremendous amount of knowledge in the imaging supply industry. He has more than 30 years sales experience including 14 years in the office product industry, and most recently served as the national account manager for Sharp Electronics Corporation.

He has held numerous account management positions with Hewlett-Packard, S.P. Richards Company, Maxell, and has also worked as a merchandise manager with S.P. Richards Company.

“We are very excited to welcome Jim aboard,” Carroll said. “With his expertise and product knowledge, there is no doubt he will help us further achieve Arlington’s goals and objectives.”
