Rob Cowman Creates The Cowman Group
AUSTIN, Texas — Former president and general manager
of Environmental Business Solutions Inc. (EBS) Rob Cowman has announced the
start of The Cowman Group, a private consulting firm with the mission of
improving businesses in the imaging supplies and service industry.
Offering a broad array of services, such as sales and
marketing strategies and operational improvements, The Cowman Group provides
business owners specialized analysis of their operations to include strategic
planning, revenue and profit strategies with additional services such as
mergers and acquisition consulting.
As a leader within the cartridge remanufacturing industry,
Cowman has developed many longstanding relationships within an extensive
network of industry leaders.
Cowman began his career with TonerPlus in 1998 where he
started as marketing director and was soon promoted to general manager. During
his time with TonerPlus, Cowman managed numerous growth strategies and
subsequent operational expansions, which included the acquisition of an inkjet
business.
He went on to serve as marketing director for Optical
Technologies Inc., and in his most recent position served for nearly four years
as president and general manager of EBS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Katun
Corp. EBS is an internationally known wholesale remanufacturer of printer, fax
and copier cartridges.
Since 1998 Cowman has been a regular contributor to
Recharger Magazine and has won numerous industry awards including two Readers
Choice first place finishes for his articles on sales and management. He has
also been a member of Recharger’s editorial board sinces its inception.
Throughout his career in the remanufacturing industry he has participated in
numerous industry advocacy endeavors in the state of Texas and with various
chapters in the International Imaging Technology Council.
“For the past few years I have had numerous people encourage
me to start a consulting business in this industry,” Cowman said. “I have now reached a point in my
career where the combination of my unique experience and extensive
relationships will greatly aid me in my mission to supply our clients with
in-depth analysis and salient advice that will result in greater profits for
them.”
A former officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, Cowman holds a
B.B.A. in finance from Texas State University and is certified in marketing by
the AMA at the University of Texas.
His numerous articles have been published in several industry
publications and he has presented dozens of seminars at national trade shows
within the imaging supplies industry.
