Avon Rubber Sells Zatec Division To Current Managment Team
RAYNHAM, Mass. — Avon Rubber recently sold its Zatec
division to members of the existing management team.
Charles Bruckman, Martin Pierce and Nick Gerrior have
partnered together to purchase the division from its corporate parent, Avon
Rubber. The final transfer of the company was scheduled for completion by Oct.
1, 2006.
Effective immediately, the company will be known as Zatec.
Zatec is a full-service manufacturer specializing in the
manufacturing of a myriad of polyurethane products. Their core product line consists of cleaning blade
assemblies and components that they supply to OEMs for both their manufacturing
and aftermarket needs. In addition to producing products for specific market
segments, Zatec also provides contract-manufacturing services to a number of
national manufacturers.

Chuck Bruckman. “We have been and will continue to be dedicated to increasing
our efficiencies and manufacturing capabilities through adopting technological
advancements.”
Zatec also recently introduced its new line of Stay-Sharp
squeegees targeted toward the CD/DVD and silk-screening markets. Their
corporate objectives will be to strengthen their existing customer
relationships by offering additional products and services, as well as expanding
into new markets through innovative product development.
For the past eight years, Bruckman has been the general
manager for the Raynham division, while Pierce and Gerrior have been involved
in the manufacturing side of the business. Bruckman will be the company
president, Pierce and Gerrior will be vice presidents and head the technical
and manufacturing operations, respectively.
Zatec will continue to operate its 45,000-square- foot
facility with estimated annual revenue of approximately $7 million. The company
currently employs more than 100 people.
