CF-Technologies Launches New Tool, Filler Cap for HP 1160, 1320, 2420 Cartridges

DEINZE, Belgium — CF-Technologies has developed a tool for a soldering iron which enables remanufacturers to burn a hole in the toner hopper, making it possible to refill the hopper of cartridges that do not have a filling cap.

Some hoppers that do not have a filling cap include the HP 1160, 1320 and 2420 cartridges.

Once a hole is created, it is then sealed off with a specially designed rubber filler cap with a foam gasket. The gasket is placed in the groove of the filler cap and assures proper sealing. In the event the hole is left with small carves and edges or even when the hole is not perfectly round, a proper sealing is still assured.

CF-Technologies recommends using the tool, the filler cap and the foam gasket in order to properly seal the toner hopper.
