R-Jet Tek Adds New Replacement Chips for HP Cartridges
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — R-Jet Tek announced the addition of 10 new chips to its line of replacement microprocessor chips for inkjet cartridges.
The new chips include six black, color and photo chips for the HP 02 cartridges, and four black and color chips for the No. 88 cartridge.
These chips will enable remanufacturers to produce cartridges that are functionally equivalent to the OEM cartridges.
“With consumer demand building for these cartridges, our customers have been getting more and more requests for them. We have responded and offer these new chips as part of our OneSource commitment,” said Vic Johnson, R-Jet Tek’s communications director. “By adding support for these popular cartridges, remanufacturers can increase their product line, and gain new customers whose needs can now be met.”
Cartridges remanufactured without a chip replacement were not often recognized by the printer, according to Johnson.
“In addition, the absence of these chips, which monitor ink levels, can lead to print head damage if the cartridges run dry. The aftermarket chips are designed to perform much like the originals and, although they are for one-time use and cannot be reset, fill a significant void in the inkjet cartridge remanufacturing process,” Johnson said.
