The Tiara Group Goes Global at Santa Barbara Seminar in June

OJAI, Calif. — The 24th Annual Toners & Photoreceptors Seminar, organized by The Tiara Group LLC, will explore the industry trend to reach out to foreign markets. The seminar is scheduled for June 4-6 at Fess Parker’s Resort in Santa Barbara, Calif.

“This year we have engaged speakers experts in Chinese, Indian, Asian, Latin American and European markets to discuss opportunities for the sale of toner, OPC drums, and other electro- photographic supplies around the world,” said Tiara’s Chairman Art Diamond. “Registrants will learn about the state-of-the-art and the state-of-the-business directly from an international group of scientists, market analysts, and corporate executives. This information is vital to strategic planning for future company activities and affiliations.”

Steve Weedon, CEO of Static Control Components, United Kingdom, will be the keynote speaker. His presentation, “Globalization of the Toner Industry,” will launch the seminar with a worldview of black and color toners that highlights the impact of expanding markets and new producers.
One notable feature of the 2007 event is its new Monday-to-Wednesday format.

“We switched to a Monday start to accommodate the request of many past registrants,” said Managing Director Terry Gorka. “Nevertheless, we will still feature our annual golf tourney on Sunday, June 3, in light of popular demand.”
Seminar speakers include Dr. Scott Silence, principal scientist for Xerox Corporation; Dr. David S. Weiss, Research Associate with Eastman Kodak Company; Dr. Marilyn Black, CEO of Air Quality Sciences; Richard C. Norton, President of DocuTrends; Charles Brewer, Managing Editor of Lyra Research’s Hard Copy Supplies Journal; and Professor Penny K. Bennett of Cal Poly.

For the past 23 years, Diamond Research Corporation and The Tiara Group have organized this highly focused event for registrants to conduct business, discuss sales, distribution, mergers, acquisitions, and licensing.

“While relaxing in the comfort of this luxury seaside hotel, registrants can conduct serious business, learn about the newest technical advances, be briefed on the latest market trends, meet privately with suppliers, producers, and customers, and establish personal relationships with the industry’s major players,” Gorka said.
