Summit Technologies Releases Third Generation of HP RoHS Compliant Chips
BOHEMIA, N.Y. — Summit Technologies LLC, a global provider of quality remanufacturing supplies since 1986, announced the release of its third-generation HP chip lineup.
“One of the most important changes to this version features components placed on top of the board. As a result, the chip sits lower and more perfectly aligns with the notch. In addition, the adhesive is significantly thinner and is virtually permanent in strength,” said Mike Josiah, vice president of technical services.
Other improvements of this new generation of chips include larger contact pads with rounded corners, which allow for “less than perfect” chip installation, and compatibility and lot code information on the back of the chip.
These chips are now gray in color and complement Summit’s fully RoHS- compliant line of chips, including Lexmark, Samsung, Xerox and Sharp.
