Cartridge World Expanding Into Israel

EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Cartridge World has announced that it has awarded the Master Franchise rights for Israel to Ronny Frydberg and Ofer Heilig.

Frydberg brings to Cartridge World more than 25 years of business experience from Hewlett-Packard Israel, where he served as chief financial officer and was responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations with more than $400 million in annual revenues and 800 employees.

Heilig also brings significant technology and business experience from both Hewlett-Packard and Compaq where he managed the channel sales team and helped rebuild HP’s printer channel.

Coming from the printer manufacturing side, Frydberg and Heilig bring with them extensive knowledge of the printers they serve from both the manufacturing and the service side.

“I am excited to join the Cartridge World team and look forward to utilizing my experience and knowledge of printing technology to increase Cartridge World’s visibility throughout Israel,” Heilig said.

Cartridge World, which opened its first franchise location in Adelaide, Australia in 1997, is the first retail cartridge refilling concept to take on manufacturing giants such as HP, Lexmark and Canon while offering cost-saving solutions for consumers and businesses on the traditionally inflated costs of printer cartridges.

“With more than 1,400 stores across 36 countries, it is clear that consumers and businesses have an appreciation for alternatives to expensive ink and toner cartridges,” said Burt Yarkin, CEO of Cartridge World North America. “Having grown to 550 stores in three years, the quick success of Cartridge World throughout the United States proves that the company is ready to expand into the Israeli markets.”
