SME Names Newsom Factory Director of Sales

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Southeastern Manufacturing Enterprise named Lee K. Newsom director of sales and marketing for the Inkjet Factory division of SME. The Inkjet Factory is SME’s all-in-one inkjet refilling system designed for retail.

Newsome brings more than 20 years of knowledge and experience to the SME table. Newsome has an extensive background in both the ink and printer business, and is a pioneer of inkjet refilling as owner and operator of one of the first retail operations in the United States. He also paved the road in the wide-format industry as vice president of marketing for LaserMaster, renowned for its cutting edge technology in the printer arena.

“I am very excited to be part of such an innovative and motivated team,” Newsom said. “SME has the technology and the vision that sets them apart from the competition. One of my goals here at SME is to expound upon the incredible opportunity that Inkjet Factory can provide to the retail market — not to mention a 90 percent profit margin.”

“We are very pleased to have Lee on board,” said Markus Kunz, general manager of SME. “His expertise is invaluable as we continue to thrive in this fast-growing industry.”
