Chips Inc. Releases T640 Family Chip
TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. — Chips Inc. released the universal encoder wheel, 32,000-yield T640 family chip.
The universal workgroup family chip is compatible with more than 80 printers. This one chip is compatible with all brands and models of printers (including multifunction printers) in the T520, T620, T630 and T640 families. This chip provides a 32,000 yield and will enable this yield in the T640/642/X642 printers and equivalent private-label brands. This was previously unavailable as the lower-end models (T640, etc.) would reject a 32,000-yield chip. This chip is multiregion and will work with all encoder wheels, including the Optra S wheels. It provides a 21,000 yield at 5 percent page coverage, full functionality and performance superior to the OEM. The Universal Brand/Universal Engine chips are protected by U.S. Patent No. 7,187,874. Other U.S. and foreign patents are pending.
“Chips Incorporated is very proud of these two new chips as they will give our customers many new options that were previously unavailable to them. These chips, as well as the rest of Chips Incorporated’s complete lineup of compatible chips, are unaffected by stealth firmware issues,” said Bob Rauber, president of Chips Incorporated.
