Densigraphix Offers PrintMIB USBkey Print Device Collection
AMHERST, N.Y. — Densigraphix Inc. announced that it will be offering the PrintMIB USBkey, a print device collection package that allows any user to collect accurate audits for the copier and printer market.
The PrintMIB USBKey can be run by simply inserting the key into an available USB port on any Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista computer connected to a TCP/IP network.
PrintMIB provides accurate print device information about the print device including manufacturer, model information, serial number, MAC address, and TCP/IP address, as well as supply levels, console and alert messages, and meter reads. No software is installed on the computer running the scans and there are no security concerns over PrintMIB. No information regarding any documents printed, or the content of any documents printed, is ever collected by the product. When running on a computer the only information that PrintMIB retrieves from the computer is the TCP/IP address of the computer, which is used to determine the network configuration. In addition, this print device collection package builds an Asset Management history based on the client, location and/or device. Also available is LocalMIB, which is a free companion software program that allows page counts to be collected from local printers connected to computers via USB cable or parallel cable.
