Future Graphics Speakers Deliver Powerful Message at ReBrasil ’07
SAO PAULO, Brazil — Future Graphics’ Director of International Sales Manny Matamoros and Project Engineer Gerardo Martinez combined forces to deliver a powerful marketing and remanufacturing one-two punch at ReBrasil 2007.
The inaugural expo, held June 20-22, was organized by the prominent Brazilian distributors and members of ABRECI (Brazilian Remanufacturers Associa-tion) in an effort to encourage unity and promote industry awareness of the Brazilian market.
ReBrasil boasted a strong line-up of technical workshops highlighting new technologies, as well as commercial presentations providing global industry insight and its impact on this emerging market.
Matamoros presented “Global Trends and Opportunities,” outlining the emerging trends across all sales channels, and predicting a positive future for the remanufacturing industry. He followed up with “Proliferation of Laser MFPs,” describing the push for these machines to replace some inkjet installations and even to enter the traditionally copier-based enterprise channel. The standing-room-only attendance at each of the sessions was a good indication of their popularity.
Martinez conducted three technical workshops on the HP 2600, HP 3600/3800, and the Lexmark X644, giving the audience the opportunity to witness first hand many of the powerful solutions that FG has developed as part of its Comprehensive Systems Solutions program.
“The participants of my workshops were very pleased to receive hands-on instructions for all these engines,” Martinez said. “I think they were even more pleased to witness the wide assortment of cost-effective, user-friendly fixtures and tools that our engineering department designed in-house.”
“The event was outstanding,” Matamoros said. “I believe that ABRECI did an excellent job of providing the Brazilian market a fine assortment of educational seminars that tapped into many of the technical, commercial, and legal challenges that impact our industry globally. I have been in this industry for over 18 years. I have witnessed the Brazilian market undergo a rapid move from being price-focused and concentrated on moving vast volumes, to a formal, industry-minded market with increasing efforts towards quality, consumer education, and solidifying their market share. We look forward to continuing our support of the Brazilian market, providing as much help as they need going forward in this endeavor.”
